Meet Jin from jinventionz! 👋

Born and bred in the heart of New York City, Jin is a first-generation Chinese American that grew up in a tiny apartment in Chinatown. Growing up, he wasn't always the most hardworking student, but he's always full of ideas and making something with his hands. 

Perhaps it's no surprise that years later, he would graduate from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Bioengineering. Somehow, he decided that wasn't enough and went on to the University of Michigan for a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (he studied hard after all!). He now works as a senior R&D engineer for a Fortune 500 medical devices company, so you know that you can trust him with his engineering expertise.

Jin’s partner in crime for jinventionz is his fiancée Cara. Cara isn’t an engineer (in fact quite far from it) but she loves to write and design colorful things. You’ll be hearing from her on all future gadget releases and social posts!

Aside from inventing gadgets, Jin and Cara play a lot of sports. You'll find them spending all summer weekends on the water with their dragon boat team, a few nights every week playing basketball with childhood friends, and occasionally running along the Hudson river when it isn't freezing cold.
